About Samantha
I am Samantha, the multidisciplinary artist that is behind SLR Collective - a curation shaped by Sentiment, Love and Reflection. These three words aren’t just values; they’re the compass that guided me through one of the most transformative chapters of my life.
SLR was born from a season of deep resilience. During recovery, I found myself writing again — quietly, privately, instinctively. One of those pieces, a poem about healing and the human experience, was later published by the mental health charity Mind. That moment reminded me that creativity isn’t just something I do; it’s something that has always held me, healed me, and helped me make sense of the world.
From that place of reflection, clarity arrived: my creativity wasn’t scattered — it was symphonic. SLR is named after the biggest inspirations in my life, my two children, and me!
Ceremonies, botanicals, millinery and jewellery were not four separate crafts. They were four expressions of the same truth: art becomes meaningful when it is personal.
Jack of All Trades. Master of Four.
SLR Collective is led by a maker who embraces the phrase: Jack of all trades. Master of Four. A creative path shaped by textile art, millinery, poetry, and a lifelong instinct for craft.
The four crafts are represented by four colours: Pink for Ceremonies, Green for Botanicals, Peach for Millinery and Blue for Jewellery
Together, they form a cohesive mastery which is why the founder chose the reclamation of the phrase “Jack of all trades. Master of Four."
ABOUT SLR COLLECTIVE
Each discipline is guided by three core values: sentiment, love and reflection.
The collective's name holds a dual meaning: SLR = Samantha, Louis, Ruby equally SLR = Sentiment, Love, Reflection.
Two inspirations — Louis and Ruby — have been the quiet thread running through the maker’s life, informing her creativity with warmth, clarity and intention.
Allowing her to "create bespoke ceremonies and handcrafted pieces that capture the essence of you with sentiment, love and reflection."
The Creative Artisan
Today, working from her base in Cardiff, creating slowly and intentionally. Every ceremony written, every floral design shaped, every headpiece sculpted, every symbolic pendant wrapped — each and every one is crafted with emotional depth and full focus. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is mass‑produced. Everything is created with care.
